Hello new community!
The web interface for this message board tells me that 100+ people have come and checked out the message board, but only about half a dozen have actually written in. I know a lot of folks are managing fear, trauma, and anxiety, and hope folks will start to feel comfortable sharing more about what's happening for you. Stress needs to be released, and when we do, it can boost immunity!
I'm doing okay-ish. I'm getting used to being sequestered basically. I've got some medical risk factors, so I've made the decision to stay home entirely. Setting up video chats with friends and community helps, but I live alone, so it's an adjustment for sure! I have 2 really sweet cats, so I'm not hurting for opportunities to cuddle. But I still miss hugging fellow humans!
I'm also struggling a little to get more productive. I have a lot of writing to do as part of my work, but I work best in coffeehouses, not at home, so it's very easy to let the day slip away here and not accomplish all of my goals or tasks.
If I'm not too tired, I would like to make soup tonight. I have green kale, red leaf kale, rainbow chard, spinach, maitake mushrooms, shitaake mushrooms, carrots, celery, zucchini, and fresh ginger, garlic and fennel, so I basically want to just make a huge pot that I can sip on for the next week or so. Other remaining goals -- my 15 minute yoga routine, physical therapy exercises, and a little time on my treadmill.
How are you? How are you managing stress or anxiety? What are you doing to take care of yourself or others?
Solidarity and gratitude for everyone,
Beth
